Image via WikipediaToday or tonight actually is the sixth anniversary of a hurricane's landfall at Beacon Beach, Alabama just east of Gulf Shores, Alabama in 2004 that turned my life forever!
I'm not sure how many other people it may have effected in a similiar way but I can't let the day pass with out mentioning the anniversary of this event in our past that made an impact in such a major way on my life that I feel it every day I wake up!
The morning of the 15th September 2004 I was on top of the world and due to the effects of this hurricane as with Hurricane Frederic on September 12th 1979 life would never be the same I just didn't realize it as yet just like it changed on September the 12th for my family in 1979!
I had prepared in 2004 very much like my father had prepared in 1979 by staying up and making sure that everything was ready to be moved, nailed down or whatever not knowing the final effect would be disaster on a scale we could only imagine at that time!
My parents lost their business, part of their home and eventually their 38' Chris Craft in 1979!
I would almost lose my life hours before the storm "Hurricane Ivan in 2004" and eventually my business and the cohesiness of my family not to mention most of my belongings before hurricane Katrina made landfall the next August in Pass Christian, MS!
