When you start a family and/or a business find a person that will be your attorney for life that you trust and feel comfortable with independant of anyone including you older family members. Pay into an account specifically set aside for legal services from day one of your independance from your parents for the specific use for legal services and advice even if it is only a dollar a week to begin with and increase it based on your ability to save.
Make sure your attorney receives a retainer fee but keep your own fund and know your attorney has no conflicts of interest. You'll be sorry and heartbroken depressed one day if you dont take my advice.
