Journal Entry 071912-A: It's turned into a rainy day here in Fairhope.

Friends,

It sure has turned into a rainy day here in Fairhope, Alabama.

I hope it doesnt set in like this through the rodeo. I'm not even sure when the rodeo is. I link to their site all the time you would think I could stop and read the date of this years rodeo on Dauphin Island, Alabama.

I used to enjoy going to the Island to the rodeo as a kid and even when I didnt have a boat I always tried to get down to the Island for the festivities.

I made it out to the Fairhope, Alabama Pier last night.

It was threatening rain and kinda empty out there but the people out on the pier were catchin a few fish.

I was kinda taking in some of the benches that line the pier and the walk ways of the park that families have purchased for deceased loved ones to honor those loved ones "love" of the water and/or to just honor their loved one(s) and one in particular caught my eye.

Its located on the South-side of the pier out under the pavilion.

It honored a couples love of the pier and love of being out in the Gulf of Mexico together.

The engraving on the bench even indicates the Latitude and Longitude in the Gulf of Mexico that they are buried together on or in a reef if I'm not mistaken.

I think of that as the most "romantic" thing I have ever seen.

I hope it wasnt a tragic ending to those people's lives.

The Restaurant was closed. I hope there wasnt anything tragic in that situation as well.

I thought several things as I realized the Yard-Arm was closed.

I know the owner is a big Alabama fan and hope it had nothing to do with the tragedy in Tuscaloosa or any other such misery in life that may have occured.

I forgot my camera and phone last night so I didnt take any pictures.

Again I hope the Yard-Arm is open tonight.

God bless, Peace, Love and Knowledge!
