Journal entry 122312-B: North Carolina Vs Vanderbilt!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U-boat

I couldn't fing a "pack of wolves" for you to enjoy reading about so I thought let's just see what else we can find to post for your pleasure. Well it wasn't pleasurable to be on a liberty ship sunk by a German U-boat but it is a part of history that must be preserved for future generations so "No-one" ever does the World or a country as wrong (To put it mildly- I hope you understand what a deep subject I hate to delve of into right now.

May I pay tribute to someone I never met but love dearly?

My grand-father Wooley was the General Super-Intendant of a Ship Yard in Panama City, Florida during WW II with an 8th grade education! that is something that I am so proud of in my family tree!

To digress. I hate being ADHD because I would love to research deeper into "both" sides of my family tree just for the fun of it! Yall I am not on any ADHD medication right now and Lord et another opportunity to have that feeling of "open-mindedness" again so I can "dig-deeper" into a subject.

Never-mind the ADHd right now I just want to complete this post for your pleasure and maybe one-day someone in my family will dig-deeper into our family tree and I'll see where I really originated from. Anyway.

Grand-Daddy Wooley built those liberty Ships in the let me see - for a lack of a better term "block" design and launched one every 30 days with a crew of 20,000 men!

I would have been so proud to meet him. when the war was over and they laid him off his men thought he had been fired and 'Struck"!

When it was announced that he had "been laid" of or "re-tired" they came back to work as the story goes and bought he and my grand-mother Wooley a beautiful "Rocking Chair" - one like you have never seen in this Century unless Carson over at Bay Furniture could get it for you and the most Beautiful Ruby Ring!

Grand-Daddy Wooley returned to Mobile and Opened the Silver-King Restaurant on Beautiful Mobile Bay which included a Restaurant, Bar, Souvineer Shop, Gasoline Station and Seafood Shop on the location where "Laps" is being built! there's more info on that over on the Let's Sell somethin page- "Laps"!

Well dang-it I was looking for a "full-Dressed" Naval Officer in a Commodore's Uniform but this 1947 hudson commodore sure is pretty and should be interesting to an automobile enthusiast! It sure was a pretty thang- wouldn't you love to take your 'honey' for a spin in this drop top?

The Vanderbilt University Commodores of The SEC and coming off a fantastic Season at 8-4!
in Nashville's Franklin American Bowl up in Tennessee near that grand "Ole Oprey"!

Live from Nashville on ESPN at 11 am CDT!

ESPN.com

I think the Dores are gonna win this one for the SEC! I don't don't know why but I sure like that Ole wolf-pack team both the Football Team and the Basketball team with Mark Gottfrieid at the helm- no Offense to Alabama's current Basketball coach who I haven't check on in the last few days- but I plan on it because those basketball pachyderms have the talent to make a run of their own thats fur sur!

As for Vandy! Go Doors!

I hope you enjoy this post and my other blogs made possible by blogger and Have a wonderful holiday season! Oh let's give you another link to Nashville!

The Train looks like fun!

Yall i'm worn out but again enjoy your Holiday in Nashville but please make it down to the Mobile Bay Area sometime. Stop by and see me at Battleship Marine on the Eastern Shore if you bring your boat or just like Nautical Gift!

Thank you!

Floyd Clifton Wooley

P.S.- We have a wonderful Bowl here in Mobile, Alabama if I ever get to write the post! May I make a controversial "opiniated" statement? Isn't 7-5 good enough for these Bowls? I hope I didn't offend those in the tourist Industry but lord. 7-5 is just all right for me!
