I just wanted to note on my blog that Typhoon Haiyan was so large- in other words!
Typhoon Haiyan that first made landfall in the Phillipines covered so much area of the surface of the Pacific Ocean it could have possibly been seen if you were on Jupiter.
It covered so much area that in a picture taken from earth orbit the outline from one side of Haiyan to the other could not be seen.
