Journal Entry 120412-A: Nevin B Sauce

Friends,

My grand-father Sauce would have been 96 years old on December 5th, 2012 as he was born in Mobile, Alabama on December 5th, 1916!

I just wanted to remember him in some special way today because he was one of the best people i have ever known. funny thing is he could tolerate most anything.

He loved his bingo, dog racing and Catholic faith but I know one thing he Loved his wife Evelyn Freeman Wright Swain Sauce and Alabama Football the most of all!

He is buried in the Pine crest Cemetary on Dauphin Island Parkway next to his loving wife.

Grand-daddy Sauce didn't get married til later in life but was married to my grand-mother for the rest of his entire life.

The thing I loved most about my grand-father was that he would take the time to "play" any game I devised in my child-hood or that was available to us.

I caught my first Brim on a cane pole off 2000 Robinhood Drive with him on some old bread when I was just in elementary school.

One of the most wonderful things he ever did for me was to take me to the doctor when I had 105 fever on a Saturday- maybe it was another day but he carried me almost literally to the doctor when my first wife Tammy called him and told him I was so ill she couldn't help me to the car and needed his help.

I think he took me to doctor Dumas.

Grand-daddy Sauce I hope they have every-thing you love in heaven including mama Sauce!

Grand-daddy Sauce retired from the Frisco Railroad as pictured above however I think by the time he had retired it had become the Burlington Northern.

He worked as a "forgive my lack of memory" person in the Mobile, Alabama office "putting trains" together as he once explained it to me.

I Love and miss you and grand-mother Sauce grand-daddy. I hope you are in Heaven where-ever it may be.

Your grand-son,

Floyd Clifton Wooley
