Medication comparison- I'm just saying!

I haven't forgotton my original reason for building this site.

I'm going to keep it simple as to not cause a stir.

I switched pharmacies a while back because I wasn't happy with a medications workings.

The medication is Clonazapam. The brand name is Klonopin. 1 mg. 

The dosing instruction as per my doctor are one a day or two a day as needed for anxiety. Not Fear. Nerves.

The brand name I have never been fortunate enough to be able to afford.

The generic name brand I changed from was Teva.

The generic name brand I have found most useful is Mylan.

The Mylan I'm running low on so I decided to try a little test tonight.

I took two Teva's I had left over from a previous prescription and sho nuff the result is the same as it has been in the past. No obvious feeling that would be considered as much comfort as with the Mylan.

No offense to Teva but damn! Really the FDA sucks- in nice way cause I'm not angry about it because maybe somebody else would like the Teva result better but not I!

I beleive as always otherwise I wouldn't have signed up for humana's drug plan that gives me some choice this month and will be available for me next month.

I don't have the big book yet the humana rep described on the phone but I hope they cover one of these drugs I take in the original name brand that owns the patent!

As a matter of fact humana does cover Cymbalta! Dropping the over the counter price from 150.00 per month back to if I heard the rep correctly on the phone to less than 50.00 a month because there is no deductible!

A Serioius post on medication! Please read just in case.

I want you to know an effect I have experienced on at least two occasion and maybe only two with a combination and timing of a medication "possible" interaction that although not life threatening does have a negative impact!


I decided to take a 20 mg Cymbalta and a 1 mg Clonazopam on an empty stomach at 5:40 pm.


I had some luck taking an afternoon dose of Clonozapam with my ADHD medication with fair results thus the decision to chart this stated action.


I had no stomach discomfort as in the first time that I recall this issue.


About thirty-forty minutes ago I just had this urge to tell myself "you feel stupid"!


It has eased now but I would take care to chart all your medication the same way I have and if you can't remember to let your doctor know try to use some type of system even if it is simply "coming from an ADHD" person this does sound stupid but I mean what I stated in a more in tune with a slight confusion of what to do!


I hope you understand what I mean or actually don't because you have never experienced the turn around type feeling some medication may have on your primary medication or whatever I'm trying to explain too you!


Other than that I've been bust today and I haven't taken the time to write anything or had that spark you feel when you want to write something until now and it is motivated out of my desire to inform just in case you ever have that sudden realization that something didn't quite work as planned!


I'm speeding up now as if I have just awaken and that starts when your ADD or ADHD medication starts to lose it's effectiveness but it is well worth it to take your medications as long as they don't harm you or anyone else around you!

The Results of the comparison over a period of several months between Adderall XR by Shire and the generic version!

The result is as conclusive as I can make out as an individual utilizing results that include symptom control, length of time that symptom control is achieved, the personal feelings I experienced when using the two or may still be experiencing with the XR by Shire due to it's smooth duration of control.

1.) The generic has a shorter length of symptom control.
2.) The Adderall XR by Shire has tested out to give symptom control with no real feeling of being on the medication for a period of 7 + hours as per yesterdays initial notes.
3.) The Adderall by Shire when it does begin to show in your feelings that naturally occur with most medications it has none of the "need to take another dose immediately" feeling as with the generic I have purchased and have regretted having to work with each time. Period! There is no doubt you will find some of this as well and the time of day the feelings return are much shorter with the generic making the afternoon be it at the office in the field or on the week-end with your family much less enjoyable for you as most likely you enjoyable for those around you simply because you don't feel as well as you can with the Adderall XR by Shire! 4.) An ADHD, ADD or person experiencing depression and has been prescribed and compared these two medications will surely feel a difference in their overall symptom control and general well being much as you would if you had a simple cold or stomach flu but not neccessarily in the same way only the effect one of those two may have on your over all feeling of well being depending on your prescribed dosage and the name brand vs the generic depending as well on your own metabolism, Etc.
5.) The Adderall by Shire as in the past has disappointed me in it's lenght of symptom control but I cannot say with any amount of certainity to this point that the once a day Vyvanse will replace a two a day dose of Adderall by Shire simply because it the Vyvanse has yet to offer the same result at the same or very close to the same price when insurance is used to purchase my medication. Your insurance and the retail price may vary but I must Add that CVS offers the closest comparable price apples to apples with my 60mg Adderall XR.
6.) I'm sorry to say the Vyvanse just does not last long enough to give the average person in my opinion symptom control that will provide the quality of life they deserve.
7.) Last but not of least importance is the fact that it would appear from my results in using any of the ADHD medications that if anyone, be it yourself or another disrupts your ability to have a decent nights rest the lenght of symptom control is lessoned with the medication at the same dose, etc!
8.) Note: I take as well if you remember from prior posts up to 2 1mg Clonazapams and a 20 mg daily dose of Cymbalta. Consider this along with your doctors instructions most importantly when trying successfully I hope in achieving your goals!

I would hate for you to have to take that class I took today because it means you have reached the end of a relationship and a court has mandated you take the class but if it were taught a little earlier in our kids lives or our maybe some of this collapse of the American family we see would not be and there would be more of us that as friends and partners hopefully more but at least those first two positive aspects of life would be used if just once a day in some form by each partner be it a relationship between lovers or business partners even.

To put it plainly we have seen these ups and downs in all races in this country and around the world most likely but as a mongrel I feel like we mongrels are in a fight to save our families and being blamed rightly so for our part by our spouses and our parents and so on! Just don't tell them that cause it's bad enough as it is!

I'm slowly getting my bearings in fact I have had them back for quite a while but due to some mistakes in my own life and how I've kept upbeat enough to not get swept around til I may have drowned to prove at least one point in my life was positive I don't really know but I have so if you are happy I'm glad for you but if not don't worry you'll find your way back. Just don't feel badly for wanting to be happy because if you do that no one around you will be unless you are in drugged out haze! Well then you will be seen but not heard- laughing or crying!


Unfortunately through experience I identified with the actors in the movies that were only a few minutes in length but thought provoking as I thought back to an earlier time and a divorce that had the very issues in it these people were acting out and it was drama! What do I mean?

The one parent using one kid or teenager to benefit her need to find a way to target the father and the father using the teenage son to target the mother even doing what seemed to me as a fact lying to his son about a support payment.

This book covers so many factors of how all the family members are affected by a divorce that you I hope find time to buy a book that takes a look at the situation from the overview of a family and not one side or the other! I know it is hard to stay neutral but these folks were over the top and I thought I hope I haven't been in the same situation for any length of time because it looks silly but true how people act sometimes.

I'm ADHD, I get irritated quickly control it as I can for the short little time the irritability is there and when not being treated it was more like a flash of dynamite and a calm so it's hard for me to maintain a long drawn out fight because it tires me as it most likely does you if ADD or ADHD especially with the D word in the mix. Yeah even that is worse when you bring it up around older family members because they don't admit the D word exists ah they don't care they take pride in their beliefs as do I mine!
I'm gonna leave it at that and maybe if we could get more talking in our lives instead of less as the trend goes with some I know something positive would come from it as it always has for me!
I hope some of you know me from Dobbins and Dukes Homes or Classic Southern Homes and if you do remember me you know I like to have a conversation! How else to build friendships and homes at the same time? Not any that I know of!
