Pictured above is the U.S.S. Mobile Bay!
I had planned to write something about the "Longest Wars"! The one's The United States of America is involved in Today in Iraq, Afghanistan and now Syria but I decided to focus on local tourism instead.
If and when we can spare a ship to be decommissioned I would like to see the United States Ship pictured above permanently enshrined on Battleship Parkway at the head of Mobile Bay near The U.S.S. Alabama BB-60!
What do you think of this idea?
I would think it would be a beautiful addition to Battleship Memorial Park and quite a sight from the "New" I-10 Bridge to be built over the Mobile River and nearby Mobile Bay!
Having Mobile's namesake at the park would most likely draw many "New" visitor's to the park!
